Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Resistance Indoor Percussion shop (shop.resistanceindoor.org) collects when you place an order, and how we use it. We collect only what we need to take payment and ship your order.

What we collect

• Contact details -- the email address you provide at checkout, used to send your order confirmation and a private link to view your order status.
• Shipping details -- the name and postal address you enter so your order can be fulfilled and delivered.
• Order details -- the items, quantities, and amounts in your purchase, including any optional donation.
• Donation honoree names-- if you add a member’s name to a Graveyard Sponsorship donation, that name is stored with your order, shown on your private order-status page, and included in the organization’s internal donation records.
• Abuse-prevention records -- to rate-limit abuse we briefly keep your IP address or a hashed identifier; these records are cleared automatically after roughly a day.

We do not collect or store your card number. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their hosted checkout page.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the providers that operate the store:

• Stripe -- payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
• Printful -- print-on-demand fulfillment. We share your name and shipping address so your order can be produced and mailed.
• Google Workspace -- sends your order confirmation email.
• Neon / Vercel -- database hosting and application hosting.
• Sentry -- error monitoring, so we can fix problems with the store. Personal details such as emails and addresses are scrubbed from reports before they are sent.
• Slack -- internal order alerts for our volunteers. These carry an order reference and amounts only -- never your name, email, or address.
• Our finance system-- each sale is recorded in Resistance Indoor Percussion’s internal bookkeeping system (ops.resistanceindoor.org), including the order amounts, your email address, and any donation honoree name. This stays within the same organization; it is not a sale or sharing of your data with anyone else.

We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies only:

• one to remember the contents of your shopping cart (kept for 14 days),
• one to remember your shipping destination (country, state, and ZIP) so we can estimate shipping costs (kept for 30 days), and
• (for store administrators) one to maintain a signed-in session.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your “recently viewed” products are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to us.

Reviews are public

If you submit a product review, the display name you choose is published alongside it in the shop. Your email address and order details are never shown publicly.

Accessing your order

Order status is available through a private, signed link sent to your email. That link expires after 90 days.

Data retention

Order records -- including the email and shipping address on them -- are kept as part of the organization’s permanent sales, tax, and accounting records. You can email shop@resistanceindoor.org to ask us to delete or anonymize your personal details, and we will honor that request except where we are required to keep records for legal or tax purposes.

Children

The store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can email us to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion. We respond to every request at shop@resistanceindoor.org.
